7 Must-Try Meatball Recipes

This collection of 7 Must-Try Meatball Recipes showcases how versatile and flavorful the humble meatball can be!

These meatball recipes feature a variety of proteins: ground turkey, ground chicken, ground beef, Italian sausage, and a frozen meatball recipe.

Meatballs are great because of their versatility – they’re great with pasta, but there is so much more you can do with them outside of Italian food!

How to serve meatballs

Depending on the meatball’s type of cuisine, you can create many different meals!  Some of our favorites are:

  • Pasta – Serve over pasta with your favorite sauce like marinara, pesto, amatriciana, alfredo, aglio e olio, or with Calabrian Chili Butter Ditalini.
  • Meatball subs – Hoagie rolls & meatballs are a perfect combo!  Toast your open roll, add meatballs (I like to slice them in half), sliced cheese, and pop it under the broiler.  Garnish with some pickled peppers or giardiniera.
  • Appetizers – Meatballs are fantastic appetizers!  Simply serve with toothpicks!  You can keep them on warm in a slow cooker.
  • Low carb – Serve meatballs with a big green salad or roasted vegetables for a low-carb meal!
  • Meal prep – Portion meatballs and your favorite sides in containers for ready-to-eat meals throughout the week.
  • Soup – A super flavorful addition to soups! Italian Meatball Gnocchi Soup is one of our favorites!

These 7 Must-Try Meatball Recipes are staples in our house and I can’t wait to hear which is your favorite!
