Made with crisp apples, warm spices, and a homemade cobbler topping, Slow Cooker Apple Cobbler is the perfect cozy dessert to celebrate fall! Top the warm cobbler with a dollop of whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for the ultimate treat!
Spray slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray. Add apples to slow cooker.
In a medium sized mixing bowl, combine the rest of the apple mixture ingredients, then add the mixture to the apples and toss to coat evenly.
Prepare cobbler mixture
To the now-empty mixing bowl, combine the cobbler mixture ingredients. Stir to combine, then spoon or pour the batter over the apples in the slow cooker and spread evenly.
Place dish towel under lid and cook on high for about 2 hours. If the cobbler topping doesn't look fully cooked, cook for another 20-30 minutes or until the topping is fully cooked.
The edges will be chewy and slight crispy with a soft cake-like cobbler topping. Excellent served with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream! Enjoy!
Notes
If your slow cooker is known to have a "hot spot", rotate crock at the half-way point if possible to prevent burning.
This recipe has only been tested in an oval 5-quart slow cooker. If you use a different size slow cooker, the cooking times may vary.
