Biscuits & gravy is one of my favorite breakfasts.  What’s not to love about a rich, sausage-filled, creamy gravy over tender biscuits?

Imagine my delight when I saw cans of Campbell’s Country Style Sausage Gravy in the commissary!

I immediately knew what I wanted to do with them – see if my favorite breakfast could be made in a slow cooker!

Guess what?  It was a great success!  Now I can have Slow Cooker Biscuits & Sausage Gravy without turning on the oven or having to make gravy!

Honestly, I was skeptical when I bought the gravy.  I had never had gravy out of a can, let alone one with sausage in it.

I thought maybe the texture would be weird or the flavors would be off.  Nope.  It was delicious!

Slow Cooker Biscuits & Sausage Gravy is perfect for holiday mornings when you’re already cooking a lot and don’t want to worry about breakfast.

It also makes a great breakfast when you’re camping with electricity. We like to make it in our RV for an easy breakfast!

Cottage Cheese Vegetable Egg Bites or Spinach Mushroom Muffin Pan Omelets would be a great addition to this casserole!

Sliced scallions or chives make a nice garnish when serving.  My family also likes to serve this with hot sauce.

NOTES:

  • This recipe has only been tested with the Campbell’s Country Style Sausage Gravy that is shown in this post.
  • I like to put a dish towel under the lid of the slow cooker to absorb condensation, so the biscuits don’t get soggy.
