Biscuits & gravy is one of my favorite breakfasts. What’s not to love about a rich, sausage-filled, creamy gravy over tender biscuits?
Imagine my delight when I saw cans of Campbell’s Country Style Sausage Gravy in the commissary!
I immediately knew what I wanted to do with them – see if my favorite breakfast could be made in a slow cooker!
Guess what? It was a great success! Now I can have Slow Cooker Biscuits & Sausage Gravy without turning on the oven or having to make gravy!
Honestly, I was skeptical when I bought the gravy. After all, I had never had gravy out of a can, let alone one with sausage in it. I thought maybe the texture would be weird or the flavors would be off. Nope. It was delicious!

How to serve biscuits & gravy:
I think Slow Cooker Biscuits & Sausage Gravy is perfect for holiday mornings like Christmas or Thanksgiving, where you’re already cooking a lot and don’t want to worry about breakfast.
It also makes a great hands-off breakfast for busy weekends or when you’re camping with electricity!
Sliced scallions or chives make a nice addition when serving. My family also likes to serve this with hot sauce.

NOTES:
- This recipe has only been tested with the Campbell’s Country Style Sausage Gravy that is shown in this post. I have not tried it with other brands or types of gravy.
- An oval 5-quart slow cooker was used to test this recipe.
- I like to put a dish towel under the lid of the slow cooker to absorb condensation, so the biscuits don’t get soggy.
