This creamy, tangy, dilly cream cheese with pieces of pickle throughout is the ultimate spread on toasted bagels, but honestly, you could put it on anything – sandwiches, burgers, crackers.
I’m the weirdo that likes dill pickle pizza and pickle-flavored potato chips. Not to mention, I add pickles to all my sandwiches, burgers, and cheese platters. If that’s you too, hello, friend!
I’ve been making my own flavored cream cheese for a while now.
I started with Garlic & Scallion Cream Cheese, then went on to create Giardiniera Vegetable Cream Cheese with leftover Chicago-Style Hot Giardiniera.
One of my recent recipes, Dill Pickle Dip, is so good, it got me thinking that a pickle cream cheese would be delicious, and I was right!
This flavorful Pickle Cream Cheese is so good, I can’t wait for my fellow pickle fans to try it!
Ingredients needed to make this recipe (scroll down to recipe card for complete recipe):
- Cream cheese
- Dried dill (dill weed)
- Garlic powder
- Pickle spears (homemade or store-bought)
How to make Dill Pickle Cream Cheese:
- Either with a fork or an electric hand mixer, simply combine the cream cheese, dried dill, and garlic powder in a mixing bowl.
- Once it’s well combined, add the diced pickles and combine everything again. (full recipe on card below)

How to use Pickle Cream Cheese:
- Spread on toasted bagels
- Slathered on wraps
- Dill Pickle Puff Pastry Appetizers
- Spread on tortillas for pinwheels
- It makes a flavorful dip for crackers, pretzels, or veggies
- Put it on a burger!
Substitutions
You can replace dried dill with fresh dill at a 1-3 ratio.
Regular and reduced fat cream cheese can be switched for the other in this recipe.
Feel free to adjust the flavors. Love garlic or dill? Add more to your taste. However, I would wait until the flavors have developed (a couple hours) before deciding you want to add more.
How to store pickle cream cheese
Store this spread in an air-tight container in the refrigerator and use within 4-5 days.

Dill Pickle Cream Cheese Spread
Equipment
- Mixing bowl
Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese softened
- 1/4 tsp dried dill (dill weed)
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 cup diced pickles approximately 1 1/2 spears
Instructions
- Add cream cheese, dried dill, and garlic powder to a mixing bowl. Either with a fork or an electric hand mixer, mix the seasonings and cream cheese together until they are combined well, then add the diced pickle. Stir to combine.
- This spread tastes best after the flavors have had a chance to develop, so I recommend refrigerating for 3 hours before using. This is amazing on bagels and wraps, but also makes a delicious dip for crackers. Enjoy!
